Bio

Over 40 years of executive experience in Government, Consulting, Public Health, Industry Management, Project Management and Higher Education, developing, implementing and managing programs, managing research grants and implementing enterprise administrative systems, teaching, and providing service on the global (United Nations, international corporations and nonprofits), national, local, state and regional level. Chris has led teams implementing administrative applications, financial-supply chain systems, data warehousing and portal and reporting projects at more than 200 leading research universities, colleges, and hospitals, including Kaiser Permanente Hospitals, NYU Langone Medical Center/ School of Medicine, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (LA), Princeton, Stanford, and the California State University system. Skilled at developing relationships with global teams, national, state, and local governmental agencies, community partners, students, faculty and staff and providing required information, analyzing and resolving problems promptly. Chris has led project teams implementing systems for national governments-agencies for the United States, Canada and Singapore and the United Nations and International Monetary Fund. Mr. Papesh served as the project manager on the implementation of global clinical trial management systems for Merck and Pfizer.

Executive and Industry Management Roles

Executive and manager for research universities: Assistant Vice President-Finance Carnegie Mellon University-CMU and Director for the University of California (UC), Berkeley; Chris served as the CFO of Riverside County, California and as a Budget Analyst-Audit Manager (assigned responsibilities included the San Francisco Public Health Department and San Francisco General Hospital) for the Board of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco. Chris has more than 20 years’ experience managing financial applications and HRMS and administrative systems, research grant-project systems, programs, and teams; responsible for high quality services and support to large user communities at UC and CMU and large California urban cities-counties. Chris led the financing teams and $200 million bond issue for the new campus and buildings for Riverside General Hospital. Chris served as a hospital orderly (full-time night shift) for the City and County of San Francisco hospitals, while attending college and graduate school full-time.

Chris served as a Technology Director for Oracle and Senior Manager for KPMG and Consulting VP.
