Justin F. Willett, PhD, MHA, is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Master of Health Administration program at the University of Missouri, where he teaches strategic planning and marketing and managerial epidemiology and contributes to the program's CAHME accreditation efforts. His research examines how leadership communication fosters thriving workplaces — including employee well-being, engagement, and retention — and how healthcare organizations communicate with the publics they serve, from patient storytelling in advertising to health news coverage. Before joining the faculty, Willett served as Research Director of the Novak Leadership Institute and spent seven years leading strategic communications for MU Health Care, including the health system's COVID-19 response. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri's MHA program.
