Borkowski Family Scholarship

Overview

The Borkowski Family Scholarship, generously funded by Nancy Borkowski and family, provides up to three full-time doctoral students each year assistance in pursuing the Art of Teaching Institute Certificate for Teaching in Healthcare Management. Each recipient will receive $400 towards the total cost of the Certificate. Recipients, through their own financial means or through sponsorship by their program, contribute the remaining $250 towards the full cost of the Certificate.

      Applicants for the Borkowski Family Scholarship must meet the following requirements:

      Application Requirements and Timeline

      The application period for the Borkowski Family Scholarship will open in September each year.

      To apply, applicants must submit the following:

      1. A personal statement detailing their interest in the Certificate for Teaching in Healthcare Management
      2. A letter of recommendation from their doctoral program director or faculty advisor

      Recipients must complete all credits for the Certificate within three years of receiving the Scholarship.

      Selection Process


      Applicants will be reviewed and selected by a committee of instructors from the Art of Teaching Institute. 

      If any part of the application is incomplete or a supporting document is missing at the deadline date, the applicant/application will be disqualified. The application form and all supporting documents must arrive to AUPHA on or prior to the deadline. No exceptions will be made.

      Applications are now open for the Scholarship. All applications must be submitted by Thursday, October 9, 2025, 11:59 Pacific Time.
