Steve Birchard and Marsha Miller-Birchard Seminar in Health Management & Policy
The Department of Health Management & Policy hosted the inaugural 'Steve Birchard and Marsha Miller-Birchard Seminar in Health Management & Policy' on Friday, May 8, 2026. The department is deeply grateful for the commitment and philanthropy of Steve and Marsha, whose support has laid the foundation for this seminar series. Steve Birchard (86MA) and Marsha Miller-Birchard (87MA, 87MBA) are both proud graduates of the Department of Health Management and Policy at the University of Iowa. The inaugural speaker, Mark Holmes of the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, presented 'From Closure to Consolidation: How Financing and Strategy Are Reshaping Rural Care Delivery'.
MHA alumni named as '40 under 40′ honorees
- John Corbeil (12MHA) has been named a 2026 '40 Under 40′ honoree by Modern Healthcare. Corbeil is currently serving as CEO at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood.
- Paige Jaeger (14MHA) was named a 2026 'Forty Under 40' honoree by the Des Moines Business Record. Jaeger is chief operating officer at ChildServe in Des Moines, IA.
- Paige Moore (10MHA) was named a 2026 'Forty Under 40' honoree by the Des Moines Business Record. Moore is CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Iowa.
