Greetings, fellow AUPHA members. As I write this blog, my institution is gearing up for the beginning of the fall semester. I think it is ironically referred to as fall, despite beginning in the “dog days of summer” in (very hot) Alabama, where I live. But, clearly, we are gearing for autumn if you have noticed the Halloween décor already stocked on store shelves. It’s just a matter of time before the pumpkin-spiced latte’s annual appearance (like it or not). Nevertheless, the energy level is increasing as our faculty arrive on campus after spending most of their summers engaged in research or other ventures. HIMSS-25 will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, March 4th – 6th. The 20th Academic Forum will be held in-person on Monday March 3, from 12:00Noon - 4:30PM (Eastern time) at the Wynn Hotel or one of the surrounding conference hotels. Free Information Sessions for Prospective Graduate Students

AUPHA will host two graduate program information sessions this fall to allow prospective students the opportunity to learn more about pursuing graduate education in healthcare management. Each session will highlight several AUPHA graduate schools that utilize the Health Administration, Management, and Policy Centralized Application Service ( HAMPCAS ). The sessions will also allow students to connect directly with program faculty and/or staff. In late July, AUPHA welcomed Ms. Kelsey Kvandal to the staff in the new position of Graduate Programs and Social Media Manager. As a former admissions professional at Drexel, Kelsey is uniquely poised to work with AUPHA graduate program members, particularly around adoption and utilization of the Health Administration, Management, and Policy Centralized Application Service (HAMPCAS). Saint Louis University, SSM Health, Join NIH’s All of Us Research Program to Help Advance Precision Medicine "One of the great things about this program is that after people sign up to participate, they can choose to receive a DNA report back," said Kimberly Enard, Ph.D., associate professor in SLU's College for Public Health and Social Justice Health, Management and Policy Department and a co-investigator on the program.
