Welcome to AUPHA
AUPHA is a global network of colleges, universities, faculty, individuals and organizations dedicated to improving health outcomes by promoting excellence in healthcare management education. AUPHA fosters excellence and innovation in healthcare management education, research and practice by providing opportunities for member programs to learn from each other, by influencing practice, and by promoting the value of healthcare management education. It is the only non-profit entity of its kind that works to improve the delivery of health services - and thus the health of citizens - throughout the world by educating professional managers at the entry level.
AUPHA's membership includes the premier Baccalaureate and Masters degree programs in Health Administration Education in the United States and Canada. Its faculty and individual members represent more than 500 colleges and universities. In addition, a large number of health care institutions, hospitals and other health services delivery organizations and associations worldwide participate in, and benefit from, the network and services of AUPHA.
Healthcare Management Education
Healthcare management education is a highly diverse field. Multidisciplinary in nature, academic programs in healthcare management are found in a variety of settings, including schools of business, public health, allied health, public administration, medicine, nursing, and health professions. This variety of programs and settings can present challenges to students seeking to enter the field by pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in healthcare management.
AUPHA provides a central source for students to seek information on the best programs in the world. AUPHA's membership is comprised of the 160 best programs in healthcare management. Membership in AUPHA is tied to the pursuit of program accreditation at the graduate level and undergraduate certification at the bachelors degree level. Thus, AUPHA can ensure that its members represent the premier programs in the world.
