2022-2023 Body of Knowledge and Curriculum Guidance

The 2022-2023 Body of Knowledge and Curriculum Guidance (BOK & CG) is a members-only benefit providing information on the content of Healthcare Management programs, including specific guidance on considerations for teaching this content.

The domains found in the BOK provide an overview of the content that comprises the field of Healthcare Management. Due to the varied nature of the field, rather than prescribing competencies, the BOK offers guidance for content and curriculum as a resource to those planning and implementing high-quality instructional programs. Program directors can use the BOK domains to tailor curriculum within their program, while individual faculty members can use it to determine content for specific courses.

While no two programs are the same, there are shared best practices among all AUPHA members. The CG provides insight into the considerations individual faculty members and program directors should take into account as they craft their own philosophy, goals, objectives, learning experiences, instructional resources, and assessments for their courses and program.
