Ready
Diversity is a complex topic that impacts many areas of skill and knowledge development in health administration education. This content area examines issues that provide the foundations of recruiting and leading a diverse workforce that serves a diverse patient population.
The content includes knowledge and skills necessary to increase, promote and manage diversity in healthcare organizations. Diversity is a fundamental concept in improving health disparities and delivering patient-centered, culturally competent care. The relevancy of diversity should be included in most courses in health administration curricula.
