Rush University Fellowship Opportunities Rush University is pleased to announce the availability of four outstanding fellowship opportunities to develop your skills as a researcher and change agent at the forefront of the healthcare transformation. These mentored fellowships will involve development and evaluation of new ways to educate and deploy community-based providers, and evaluation of the new models of care in which they will be working. A primary goal of the fellowship program is to develop a cadre of well-trained health care researchers with a passion for creating sustainable ways for providing access to high-quality care for individuals in underserved communities, with a particular focus on improving health in the communities that we serve. The fellows will embody our teacher-practitioner model by being involved in program development and implementation as well as evaluation and dissemination.
Three fellows will be based at Rush and will be involved in projects that relate to the development, implementation and evaluation of new models of care, continuing education and/or curriculum development for community-based providers. These fellows will be mentored by faculty in the College of Health Sciences, College of Nursing and Department of Preventive Medicine. In addition, one fellow will be based at Malcolm X College (MXC) and will work with MXC and Rush faculty to develop, implement and evaluate new curriculum streams that address the allied health workforce needs in underserved communities.
