The purpose of the Upsilon Phi Delta Honor Society is to further the professional competence and dedication of the individual members in and for the profession of healthcare management.

This purpose is achieved by:

  • Recognizing students who achieve distinction in healthcare administration and management studies in universities and colleges.
  • Motivating academic excellence in students studying healthcare administration and management.
  • Recognizing, by means of granting honorary memberships, individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the profession.
  • Upholding and developing high professional standards and ethics for members of the profession.  

Members are selected on the basis of academic achievements, service to the community and/or contributions to the healthcare management profession.

Undergraduate members must have a GPA of 3.25 or greater. Graduate members must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and/or be in the top 10% of their class.

The official colors of Upsilon Phi Delta are crimson red and cobalt blue.  The official flower is the rose
