Programs seeking Full Membership in AUPHA must have achieved proven excellence as indicated by undergraduate certification or graduate accreditation.  Certification and Accreditation are processes of external peer review through which programs are examined to determine quality of the curriculum, infrastructure, and outcomes.

Certification of undergraduate programs is available through AUPHA.

Accreditation of graduate programs is carried out by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME).
