Individual Membership

Why Join?

AUPHA membership will give you access to our many products and services. When asked what they value most highly about AUPHA membership, our members cite the opportunity to meet and network with colleagues who share similar interests. The AUPHA Faculty Networks, Annual Meeting and other conferences make this exchange possible. AUPHA offers publications that promote communication throughout the membership and keep members up to date on advancements in the field. AUPHA offers individual members the opportunity to publish research and papers in the only peer-reviewed journal examining issues relating to healthcare management/administration education.

Get Involved

AUPHA members drive the activities, provide the energy, identify and address issues, as well as deliver educational benefits. AUPHA encourages and recognizes individual involvement on its various committees and in leadership positions within the organization. Active involvement helps the overall industry and provides tremendous interaction across industry segments. One of AUPHA’s greatest strengths is its ability to leverage membership expertise for the benefit of all members.

Faculty Networks

AUPHA’s Faculty Networks address the ongoing need to collaborate among the faculty to develop new course content and teaching methods. Individual faculty members can not address the many emerging issues alone nor develop comprehensive curricula to address them. AUPHA’s Faculty Networks and Special Interest Groups are central to our mission. They bring together faculty from diverse programs with common interests. They facilitate research and curriculum development and continuously seek new areas of focus for the Association. AUPHA supports the work of these networks by coordinating their activities, providing opportunities to meet, and supporting the Networks’ programs.

Faculty Network Participation
The Faculty Networks foster communication and support collaborative activities that are of special importance to their members, as well as to the field of practice. Only active AUPHA members can participate in these unique and dynamic groups.

Directory of Healthcare Management Education
Published every two years, this highly sought after publication is a comprehensive listing of programs at the baccalaureate, masters, doctoral, executive and continuing education levels, their faculty, curricula and tuition costs.

The Journal of Health Administration Education
The Journal, AUPHA’s quarterly peer-reviewed journal which chronicles research, case studies, and essays by leading healthcare management/administration educators and professionals. The Journal consistently targets key policy issues in healthcare management nationally and internationally and is the foremost authoritative guide on the latest developments in academe.

AUPHA Exchange
The AUPHA Exchange is an electronic newsletter published quarterly (with monthly supplements) on issues in healthcare management education. Features include Program News, News from the Industry, and Employment Opportunities in the field.

Member Discounts

Cost of Individual Membership in AUPHA

Individual Membership Dues in AUPHA are $110 per year. Your membership is valid for 12 months after receipt of your dues payment. You will receive a renewal notices beginning 3 months before your membership expires. Dues may be paid by check or credit card (Amex, Visa, MC). Dues are subject to change.

* Cancellation Policy: Individual memberships may be cancelled within ten (10) days of join date for a 10% penalty. Individual memberships are non-refundable following the initial ten (10) days of membership.
**Please note: All membership materials for International members will be transmitted electronically.  New member packets and username and password will be transmitted electronically on receipt of payment.
