Full-Time, 12-Month Faculty Position, Dept. of Health Policy and Management

The Department of Health Policy and Management in the Boston University School of Public Health invites applications for a full time, 12-month faculty position, rank open.

 

We are looking for an individual with expertise in the application of operations management/industrial engineering concepts to the delivery of healthcare services.  These include lean manufacturing, six sigma and queuing theory.  Candidates with expertise in the application of operations management/industrial engineering concepts to quality improvement are of particular interest. 

 

The selected individual will have teaching (2 to 3 courses per year) and advising responsibilities in the Master of Public Health (MPH) program and will be expected to maintain a portfolio of scholarly research. 

 

A doctoral degree is required, with specialization in operations management, industrial engineering, health care administration or other relevant discipline, along with substantial knowledge of health care management/delivery.

 

Boston University’s Department of Health Policy and Management has a multidisciplinary faculty engaged in health policy and management research.  The department offers M.P.H., M.S. and Ph.D degree programs, and is affiliated with two health services research centers of excellence funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
