The Department of Health Management and Policy in the College of Health and Human Services at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position, rank open. Candidates must possess an earned doctorate in health management/policy (with expertise/experience in health care organizational management, health care finance or health informatics, public health administration), or closely related discipline.  Candidates with evidence of successful teaching experience are valued as are ones prepared to engage in collaborative research in a multidisciplinary setting. Applied and research experience in the area of Health Management and strong methodological skills are desirable.

The Department offers an AUPHA-certified baccalaureate program in Health Management and Policy, with options in Health Management and Public Health, a CEPH-accredited MPH program, and a Graduate Public Health Certificate Program. The College is also home to three research institutes: the Carsey Institute, a policy institute conducting research on families and communities; the New Hampshire Institute for Health Policy and Practice which conducts research and provides human and technical resources to assist State agencies; and the Institute on Disabilities which provides a wide range of opportunities for applied research related to state or national public health issues related to disabilities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for a collaborative appointment with one of the institutes.

UNH is a Doctoral/Research Extensive University and a comprehensive land-grant, space-grant, and sea-grant institution. UNH has approximately 11,000 undergraduate students and 2,000 graduate students. It combines the living learning environment of a small New England liberal arts college with the breadth, spirit of discovery, and civic involvement of a land-grant research institution.

UNH is located in Durham, New Hampshire within minutes of Maine and New Hampshire seacoasts and within 45 minutes of New Hampshire’s White Mountains, State capital, and largest urban communities. It is approximately one hour from Boston, Massachusetts and Portland, Maine, and has passenger rail services to both.
